I’m Marius Els, a London-based photographer and montage artist. I create surreal, theatrical photo illustrations by blending my own photography with digital elements, AI, and carefully selected imagery.

Before moving into photography and digital art, I was a classical ballet dancer, performing soloist and principal roles before retiring as a principal dancer with London City Ballet. Dance shaped the way I see movement, composition and emotion — qualities that now live in my visual work.

My artwork explores everything from fantasy to quiet emotional narratives. I’m drawn to detail, texture and atmosphere, and I use digital techniques to build layered compositions that feel immersive and story-led.

I’ve exhibited with galleries including London Light House Gallery, The Arts Project, Espacio Gallery, and the annual Loudest Whispers exhibition.

My work is available as fine art prints in my Print Shop. Alongside creating, I continue to expand my practice through the Photo Artistry platform by Sebastian Michaels, where I’m also part of the content design team.
